Truly Good Gifts

Hi, I’m Nico—and I’m so happy you’re here.

Truly Good Gifts was born from a lifelong love of giving.

Ever since I was a little girl growing up in Japan, I found joy in wrapping things beautifully, choosing just the right item, and imagining the smile on someone’s face when they received it. Whether it was wrapping every book in the house for fun (yes, really!) or getting in trouble for gifting my teacher without telling my parents—giving has always been a part of who I am.

To me, a gift is more than an object. It’s a message. A moment. A shared happiness between the giver and the receiver. I truly believe that when we give something good—something thoughtful—it creates a little burst of joy in the world.

Now, as a mom of two boys, I still find joy in choosing and sharing beautiful things. I love traveling (especially to beaches in Mexico and the Caribbean), cooking for loved ones, wearing pretty dresses, and embracing the Japanese spirit of omotenashi—hospitality rooted in care and attention to detail. Cooking, in fact, is one of my favorite forms of gift-giving.

That’s what Truly Good Gifts is all about. It’s a curated space filled with items I’ve discovered, used, and truly love. Some are small brands that deserve more attention. Some are beautifully made essentials. All of them are chosen with heart.

My mission is simple:To spread joy through thoughtful gifting. To celebrate the little moments that connect us. To share things that are truly, genuinely good.

So whether you’re here to find the perfect gift, get inspired, or just explore, thank you for being part of this journey. I’d love to hear your gift-giving stories too—because joy is even better when shared.

Once Michael Jackson, the king of pop said,

"There's a love that cannot lie

Love is strong, it only cares for joyful giving

if we try, we shall see

In this bliss, we cannot feel fear or dread,

we stop existing and start living."

Happy gifting, and happy living!

With love,Nico
